Time travel has enchanted and intrigued us since the earliest days of fiction, when authors such as H. G. Wells, Samuel Madden, Charles Dickens and Enrique Gaspar y Rimbau stretched and challenged our imaginations with images and tales of men and women who invented amazing machines and devices that could take them back in time, or forward into the future. But because of the restrictions of light speed, and the paradoxes of going back to the past without damaging the future timeline, and a host of other obstacles and challenges, we, in fact, have remained stuck in the present.
Our scientific knowledge and technological achievement has yet to catch up to the limitless dreams of our imaginations. But perhaps just because we have yet to achieve time travel in our universe, in our particular point along the cosmic arrow of time, doesn't mean it isn't achievable...and maybe the key is the universe itself. Are we limiting ourselves to our understanding only of the laws and possibilities of our universe, and leaving out of the equation other realities, other universes, with other laws and forces, paradoxes and limitation, possibilities and potentialities, far beyond our own?
In 2011, quantum physicists at the University of California at Santa Barbara, led by Andrew Cleland and John Martinis, designed a "quantum machine," as they call it, that might one day lead to proof of time travel and parallel universes. Their machine, a tiny little teleporter barely visible to the naked eye, involves making a tiny metal paddle cool to its ground state, the lowest energy state permissible by the laws of quantum mechanics, and then raising it's energy slowly by a single quantum to produce a purely quantum state of motion. For the second year in a row, I find myself at the International UFO Congress near Phoenix, Arizona. Last year I wrote a detailed five-part account of the conference. I told myself I wouldnt write as much this year, but it looks like this resolution may be broken.
When I arrived Tuesday evening, February 26, I ran into Lee Speigel in the restaurant, the weird news reporter for AOL/Huffington post, who is the Host of this Conference, and who I have known for years. I would call Speigel a "skeptical believer," meaning that while he thinks some UFO cases may be beyond our present knowledge, he realizes that the great majority of UFO claims are frankly not worth much. Speigel was with Ben Hansen of Fact or Faked on the SyFy Channel, who was the first speaker Wednesday morning, and who takes a similar position.
The next morning, after Speigels introduction, Ben Hansen spoke on "Profiling the Hoaxers." He explained that his background in law enforcement prepares him well for forensic evidence of UFO and other paranormal evidence. He describes himself as neither a believer or skeptic, but a "verifier." He explains that hoaxes abound in UFOlogy, and that there can be big money in making bogus ET claims, although he will not name any names. He set forth the following "Hoaxer Subtypes," based on his experience in law enforcement and with paranormal claims:
1. Clinical Con Artist. Charismatic, lacks conscience. Claims of persecution by federal agencies - a red flag, there is so much red tape for intelligence actions that these claims are not at all credible. Some of these people have Narcissistic Personality Disorder. The mentally disordered tend to gravitate to "our field," i.e. UFOlogy.
2. Legendizers, seeking fame and/or financial gain. May have had a legitimate experience, but you can only tell the same story so many times, so they add more and more excitement each time it is told.
3. Commercial Campaigners. Publicity stunts. They are not in it for the long-haul, the hoax usually only lasts a few weeks. This damages the credibility of the UFO field, it makes people dismiss legitimate cases.
4. Self-amused pranksters. Motivated by the challenge of pulling it off.
5. Disinformation agents, the rarest type. The government changed its story on Roswell, repeatedly. The 1956 documentary movie UFO was part of a debunking contingency plan. (This category sounds dubious to me).

A retired pilot in Alliance, OH, reported watching four unusual objects that resembled "an orange-yellow fireball" flying in formation beginning about 9:23 p.m. on April 21, 2013, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

"I closed the truck door and pivoted to my left (now facing north) to go back in my house, when I noticed on the horizon three objects approximately 30 degrees above the horizon at an altitude of 3500 MSL (2500 AGL in this area)," the witness stated. "The objects were flying in formation with the lead craft in the middle and the other two craft approximately one nautical mile back and one nautical mile to either side of the lead craft."The witness became startled at what he was seeing.
"I am a retired pilot and the reason I was startled is that I initially stared at the lead object only due to the fact that it resembled an aircraft, especially a turbo-prop, with an engine fire. My eyes were obviously drawn to the other two craft as well and I did not know what to make of what I was seeing. The craft [was] heading due west (270 degrees) making no sound."The witness says he was shook up by the incident.
"I'm really kind of shook up by this. I just was asked by someone the other day if I had ever seen anything whenever I was flying, you know, UFOs they asked. Honestly and emphatically, no. In other UFO news today, a Sprague River, OR, witness reports waking up during the night and discovering 15 entities "three-four feet in height and dark gray," according to April 22, 2013, MUFON testimony.
"I was sleeping in my bedroom when I sensed that something/someone was looking at me, so I opened my eyes," the witness stated. "My night light was on, so I could see clearly somewhat. At the side/foot of my bed were small, three-four feet in height, dark gray entities, about 15 of them."No images or videos were included with MUFON Case 46892, which occurred about 1:30 a.m. on December 21, 2012. The witness was in bed with her husband at the time and had one drink before retiring for the night and woke thinking they were in the middle of an earthquake.
"Six hours later I awoke incredibly afraid," the witness stated. "I awoke thinking we were having an earthquake but instead I found that I was being rocked from side to side violently to the point of nearly flipping over. My body was totally relaxed, yet my body was being lifted quite a bit off the mattress. I laid there just observing (really wondering 'what the hell') was going on."The woman reached out to grab onto the bed sheets in an attempt to stabilize herself.
"I looked around the room and noticed a swirling in front of me. The mass was rotating in a clockwise direction and then froze in position. So now I was still looking at it with the door bent along with the rest of the room and its furnishings in that area all frozen in this clockwise position in that whirling mass. I could see streaks where the objects moved from as though one had taken a picture of a fast-moving object. I turned to look at my husband sleeping. And finally, an Arizona witness near Wellton recalled a bizarre encounter with a "hockey puck-sized UFO" during the summer of 1975 that hovered and darted around she and her sibling for 15 minutes, according to April 22, 2013, MUFON testimony.
The witness and her brother were outside smashing cans when the object was first noticed.
"We both were suddenly aware of a hockey puck-sized UFO hovering very close by as if watching what we were doing," the witness stated. "We kept looking at it, trying to figure out if it was some sort of weird bird or huge insect as it hummed, almost like the noise that a hummingbird makes. It was "no" hummingbird."The witness described the object.
"It was shaped like a hockey puck (round), a black/dark gray, dull surface, that was not smooth looking. It looked like the color of a gun barrel but not as smooth. Reports of small UFOs make up a low percentage of all U.S. sightings annually, but are a continuing category for investigators.
On June 10, 2011, in MUFON Case 29547, an Arizona couple described a "star-like fireball" that was three-feet across and followed their car at about the height of their windows for two minutes during a nighttime drive about halfway between Las Vegas, NV, and Kingman, AZ -- putting them roughly 50 miles north of Kingman, a town about 150 miles west of Flagstaff.
The couple left the T.J. Shepherd show in Las Vegas about 9:30 p.m. and decided to drive home to Golden Valley -- about eight miles from Kingman, AZ. About halfway through the trip, the woman's husband, a passenger, "pointed out a star-like fireball following the car at window height. It disappeared in about two minutes -- vanishing."
Realizing they were alone on the highway, the woman, who was driving, decided to attempt to catch up to cars that were ahead of her.
"I decided to try to catch up to the cars that were ahead of it that were going 65 MPH," the woman stated. "I was the last car in line. They took off so fast that I was going 80 MPH and I could not catch up with them."Now the couple found themselves alone along a dark stretch of desert highway as the "fireball" moved in front of their vehicle.
It was going the same speed as us. It was a little bit bigger than three feet across. It followed us for about two minutes, and then vanished. This all happened halfway between Las Vegas and Kingman.When the object moved in front of their car, it was about 15 feet ahead of them. They were able to get a good look at the object.
"When the object was in front of the car it stayed about 15 feet even in front of the car. I had a good look at the star-like fireball. My husband said this object appeared as a white, really bright object. When I first saw it I said to my husband, 'I guess they really do exist.' When the star-like fireball right in front of the car was observed, I said, 'I don't want to be a specimen.'"Two weeks after this incident, an Arizona witness traveling the 44 miles between Flagstaff and the small town of Leupp at 1:21 a.m. on June 24, 2011, had an encounter with an object that descended for the sky to just four feet off of the highway and moved along the driver's side of the car in MUFON Case 29703.
" I was able to clearly see it light the ground up red," the witness stated. "It flew parallel to my vehicle and just about kept the same speed as my vehicle (65 mph). The orb itself was red and emitting a red glow - darker red in the center, brighter red around the edges. It was to the left of the vehicle, approximately 50 yards away. At this point I was feeling panicked, afraid and curious."The object eventually moved away and shot off into the sky.
"No noise, besides engine noise was noted. The only notable difference was the presence of a cellphone signal (there usually is none). It followed my vehicle for a quarter-mile and it sped up two car lengths in front of me and abruptly made a 90-degree turn, upward into the sky, at which point I leaned forward to see it shoot across the sky like a shooting star toward the east."The above quotes were edited for clarity. At 10.13 pm two sightings 3 minutes apart, same objects as the November 2007 sighting. I saw two of them tonight, it kind of freaked me out. I was looking at the big dipper and they appeared in the same locations, 3 minutes apart. They traveled and stopped, then blinked out after 30 seconds. It even was about 3 to 4 minutes each and 2 to 3 minutes apart. I don't believe in UFOs, but I can tell you I won't sleep well tonight. I see jets and aircraft pass every night. Please Note, these we not jets or satellites. Jets and satellites don't stop dead and move the other way.
Additional Information:
Barrie, Ontario Canada and the sighting happened on the evening of September 22, you know I am very neutral and reserved person who believe explanation and since my first thought would be a airplane or satellite. What really bugs me about this, is those objects can not stop dead in mid air and the lights don't shut off, they require to have them on at all times.
I did some research after the sighting and found many reports in Barrie, Ontario. There is one specific with video and pictures.

His website has details of the various tours available, and when he contacted me, he informed me that he was receiving several requests for guided tours in Roswell pertaining to the 1947 Roswell Incident, and wondered if I would be interested in doing a Roswell tour.Since starting my research of the Roswell Incident over 25 years ago, my main objective has always been to obtain what factual information I could and share that information with the public in interviews, lectures or writing editorials. Doing tours would of course open another source for sharing my research. I accepted the challenge Tony offered and had my first tour shortly thereafter. My first request for a tour was from a young lady from New Zealand. Since then I have done tours with people from England, Mexico and Canada, in addition to many from within the United States. Most of the people that have requested tours have contacted me through Tony at his website, while a few have contacted me directly either by my email address truthseeker@dfn.com or by telephone at (575) 625 8402. During the tours at each location on the itinerary I explain the significance of each location, the people that were involved there in 1947 and am able to share information that many had not heard or read about before in books or seen in TV documentaries. Many of the people that have taken the tours have commented afterwards that I provided an insight they hadn't heard or didn't know before taking the tour.The tours are fairly consistent in length usually taking approximately 2 hours to complete. KNELL PLEA HEARING DELAYED

A man who left his children in "deplorable" conditions will admit to two of 10 "neglect of a dependent" charges, according to court documents.
William Knell, 55, 100 block of S. Lebanon Street, will acknowledge he placed his children in danger twice, between Aug. 26 and Sept. 1, 2010, and again between Sept.2 and Sept. 10, 2009, under the deal offered by the Boone County Prosecutor.
Circuit Court Judge Jeffrey Edens was to have held a hearing on the offer Thursday, but that hearing has been rescheduled for 3 p.m. July 26.
Pamela Buchanan, Knell's defense attorney, asked for the delay so additional screening could be completed by the Boone County Community Corrections Program, according to court records.
No details of the plea were listed. Each of the 10 neglect charges are class D felonies, which carry sentences of six months to three years and fines up to 10,000.
On Feb. 4, Knell's wife, Catherine, 47, pleaded guilty to three counts of child neglect following an investigation of the Knell home, 1610 Ashley Drive, by the Indiana Department of Child Services and Lebanon Police. Catherine Knell's 1 1/2 year sentences were suspended; she was placed on two years probation.
Investigators found rotted food in a refrigerator and in bathrooms and bedrooms. The house was overrun by cockroaches and the toilets were "filled with feces," DCS investigator Jenny Essex said in a court document. Similar conditions were found in May 2008 and September 2009 when DCS investigators returned to the home.
Several civil judgments against the Knells, for credit card fraud and other complaints, have been awarded by Arizona courts.
