Westlake Library Presentation July 31 2013 118 In Attendance
To begin with I can not compliment the Porter Library staff enough for efforts in making the July 31, 2013 program a successful event. The 118 in attendance was no only treated to a totally new presentation titled "Unknown Encounters", but given a multipage program that included information on UFO organizations, books on the subject, and a list of UFO related websites.

The program lasted slightly over an hour with 45 for questions and answers before the library closed. The program centered around three main topics. The first was the Trumble County UFO sightings of 1994. I always like to feature a historical case from Ohio. The multi-media laced program combined pictures of those involved with the 911 police calls. It was interesting to watch the audiences response when the 911 calls went from joking to serious. A second portion of the program shifted gears and provided the attendees with a first-hand report of a crop circle investigation. Myself, Aaron Clark, and David Tribby volunteered to assist with the investigation headed by Jeff Wilson of the Independent Crop Circle Research Association. Facts were presented on how this circle could not have been hoaxed. A third portion involved the story of a potential abductee. The story followed the abductees experiences over a number of years. This portion created silence in the group. But as I told everyone, this is a potential abduction and the human mind is very complex. Someone dreams may be seen as reality. The program ended with questions and answers. Very few, if anybody left before the end. I would like to compliment the staff at Porter Library for all their hard work promoting the event and creating some tremendous handout. They have already asked for another program next year.
