Residents of the city of Cucuta in the South American nation of Colombia believe that they might have witnessed a UFO or craft of extraterrestrial origin which appeared in the skies above their homes around two weeks ago in July.
The diamond shaped craft hovered overhead in the night sky for around an hour before disappearing. A number of residents managed to get footage of the UFO (see video below): which is now being examined by experts.
This latest in a string of many recent UFO sightings in Colombia received extensive media coverage.
It is unknown why aliens seem to be targeting Colombia. Some scientists have speculated that visitors from other worlds might take an interest in South America's varied plant life.
